Bruce was born and raised right where he is now. He has been    doing woodworking for a large part of his life, starting in high school where he completed 4 years of study with honour marks for excellence in woodworking. He has now done woodworking full time since 1999 when he sold his dairy herd.

He enjoys seeing people's dreams come to life. A customer brings him a sketch of what they would like and he transforms that vision into a unique piece for them from solid wood of their choice.

His day usually starts off with getting the kids off to school, then
he heads out to the shop to work on the latest project. If the project happens to be in the finishing stage, he will leave the shop after spraying on a coat of finish to tend to the rose beds. In a hectic world, Bruce finds peace amongst his gardens- “it's nice to take time to relax and stroll through the rose beds and observe nature at it's best.”

He builds practically everything from a jewellery box or lazy susan, up to an exquisite heirloom grandfather clock. He specializes in re-facing kitchen cupboards, i.e-replacing old doors with new ones, to give the appearance of a brand new kitchen at a much lower expense. He also does complete kitchens, sitting down with the customer to see what they envision their dream kitchen to look like.

He owns his own band saw mill that allows him to carefully saw out what he finds to be the best grain of the logs. This way he saves on the cost of buying lumber, passing on the savings to his customers. He also makes mouldings from lumber, specializing in Victorian trim for older houses that you cannot find in the big box stores.
